Granting Pink Each year we award scholarships to women with breast cancer living in Yolo County who are currently undergoing or have recently undergone treatment. Our volunteers can assist you with the application. Pink Petals Text here. Pink Peer Mentors We connect you with someone who has a similar diagnosis. They will listen and support you. Educational Workshops We offer our Pink Speaker series on Zoom where we discuss breast cancer, self-care, health, genetics, and more. Monthly Walks Once a month, we gather with fellow women, friends, and family to walk, talk, share, and support one another. (add months and link to calendar Thriver's Circles Text here. Resource Library We have books about breast cancer, how to talk to your children, and how to take care of yourself during and after treatment. Join Thriving Pink this October in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month as we honor our community's thrivers and build compassionate support right here in Yolo County. PINKtober is Thriving Pink’s annual campaign in October, coinciding with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, dedicated to raising awareness, building community, and creating tangible local impact for breast cancer thrivers in Yolo County. When we come together as individuals, families, businesses, and community partners, we empower those impacted by breast cancer to truly thrive. Why Your Participation Matters The Reality: 1 in 8 women and 1 in 726 men will face breast cancer in their lifetime, including family, friends, neighbors, employees, business owners, and customers in our community. Our Proven Impact: Over 9 years, we've awarded over $350,000 in grants and hosted 250+ support programs, all at no cost to participants. Your Role: Together, we ensure no one faces this journey alone by creating direct local impact through financial grants, treatment support, community connections and a wide variety of programs. ( View our recognition levels ) Donate Now Learn More Your Impact In Action Every dollar makes an immediate difference in the lives of breast cancer thrivers in Yolo County $25 provides comfort items during treatment for a newly-diagnosed patient. $50 funds our Pink Peer mentor program to support newly diagnosed. $75 funds participation in a Thrivers' Circle of Support group session. $100 supports multiple programs serving the breast cancer community. $2000 funds one Granting Pink recipient to help with their essential needs. Donate Now Thriving Pink Programs Supporting our community through every stage of the journey. Granting Pink Awards financial assistance grants for treatment-related costs. Mentoring Pink Complimentary support groups for those in active treatment, with metastatic cancer, or post-treatment. Pink Peer Mentors Mentorship and community programming for thrivers and their families. ProspeROSA Program Spanish outreach program dedicated to helping this community find resources from diagnosis to survivorship. How You Can Get Involved There are many ways to take part. Everyone can do something. Every bit helps. For Individuals For Businesses Attend Events: During the month of October, our PINKtober calendar of events is filled with activities like our Thrivers' Walk , 2nd Friday ArtAbout , Zumbathon , plus many more. Donate : Even $15 makes a real difference for a local thriver. Fundraise: Host your own event (in-person or virtual) or a Facebook fundraiser . Share Your Story: Raise awareness by sharing your thriver journey or supporting others. Shop for a Cause: Support local businesses offering "round up" donations at the register. Volunteer : We are growing and are always in need of volunteers. We provide marketing support, materials, and promotional assistance for all business partners. Round Up Campaigns: Choose a day, week or the whole month to encourage customers to round up their purchases in support breast cancer thrivers. Fundraise: Host a Facebook fundraiser or organize your own event. Thriving Pink Day: Host and dedicate the day's proceeds or percentage of sales to our cause. Display QR Code : Direct customers to easy giving options. Matching Funds: Match donations raised by your employees. Corporate Partnerships: $1,500+ donations receive year-long website recognition.
